What is your Target? A stronger core? Fitting back into a favorite pair of jeans? A more effective cross training method? Increased flexibility? Improved posture? More awareness of your body? All of the above?
When I started teaching Pilates 20 years ago, most people who walked in the studio door did not know what they were getting into. At the time many people scoffed that Pilates would be a fad. Today it seems to be everywhere and its popularity and resilience have only proven its effectiveness. The beauty of Pilates is that there is something in it for everyone. Pilates work is appropriate for all ages and effective for anyone from the novice exercise student to the most elite athlete. It utilizes the entire body, and every exercise emphasizes the use of the core. Over the years my clients have ranged from people who have never worked out before to professional athletes. As a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates to improve his own athleticism, the exercises strengthen your body, lengthen your muscles, increase flexibility, improve posture, and enhance the mind-body connection.
At Target Pilates Studio each workout is catered specifically to you. By keeping sessions small, you get the most attention and the best information for your body. In recent years many studios have taken on a factory approach, circulating people in and out, utilizing a one-size-fits-all workout with larger class sizes. At Target Pilates Studio you are guaranteed a small class, (privates, duets, and trios only) with a personalized program developed by an experienced teacher. Your body will be the target focus every time.
The training area is private and separated from the waiting area, so your time is never interrupted or on display. As a teacher to prominent personalities, celebrities, and people who want to quietly focus on improving their physicality, I understand that privacy is a revered element. After a great workout, enjoy a few moments in the serene waiting room sipping complimentary water, tea, or (for you caffeine lovers) coffee. Put your feet up, take a breath, and enjoy the effects of the time you took for yourself.
The studio serves clients from the areas of Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Agoura Hills, Oak Park, and Malibu. For more information about Pilates or the studio, contact us. We look forward to working with you!
