New Blog for Target Pilates Clients
As the owner of Target Pilates, the well-being of our clients is always at the forefront of my thinking. Every class I create, every moment I teach, and every plan for the studio receives the most care and contemplation of anything I do. Starting a new year, and winding down our 3rd year in business in Westlake Village, I started to think about what things could enhance the studio experience for our current clientele. I know many of you are so happy with the fitness experience you are having – whether it is a good kick-ass workout or a more therapeutic mind-body experience, there are many thoughts that spring to my mind to grow your practice with us. The more you can deepen your experience by layering information for the mind and body, the better. So my plan is to contribute new offerings that will gradually appear over the next year. Hopefully one or all of them will resonate with you! Make sure you are subscribed to our newsletters, Facebook page, and blog so you don’t miss out on sales, promotions, and information.
SPACE – as our lease draws to a close, the question of whether or not we stay in our beautiful, cozy space is a big one. Staying allows us to keep doing what we are doing – not a bad scenario. Moving allows us the opportunity to consider expanding and increasing our offerings. Rest assured – we will not be offering bigger classes or alter our methodology in anyway. We know the difference small sessions can make, and keeping our Group Classes more like Semi-Privates, and our private sessions truly private makes a difference. But another room with tower equipment, or a mat space could allow us (your loving, passionate teachers) to increase our ability to teach you about Pilates, show you some new moves, and make your workouts that much more dynamic. We are looking at many possibilities, including staying where we are. And we will continue to update you as we go.
VIDEOS – I know some of you can hear me counting the hundreds to you as you fall asleep, but it’s not the same as a full class. There is a lot of great online content out there, and as always I encourage you to study with as many teachers as you can to get the full benefit of any physical practice. As some of you have told me, I just wish I could have you in my living room with me..or better yet, on vacation (and I am available for vacation gigs 😉 We will begin producing audio and video content of classes and workshops for you – all taught by your favorite TPS trainers! Maybe it’s a 15 minutes stretch class. Or a 60 minute mat class to kick your butt. Or maybe a short 5 minute video clarifying alignment principles. You’ll be able to search for what you need and enjoy what we can offer from wherever you are.
TOYS – Clients ask me all the time where to get the many props and products we use in the studio. Whether it is a foam roller, weighted balls, or China Gel, being able to take your Pilates practice and continue at home is a high priority for many of you. In this year we plan to add a retail space to the studio, to allow you the opportunity to purchase items that we use. And of course we may have to offer some fun apparel and other goodies too.
SOCIAL MEDIA – Sales, promotions, events. Want to get a deal on your sessions? Make sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and Instagram so you don’t miss out.
READ UP – This blog. I love to write. Almost as much as I love a good Pilates workout. I started the blog when the studio opened but things got so busy, so fast that it fell to the wayside. So I am reinvigorating the blog – both for my joy of writing and my desire to bring you all supplemental information you may find interesting. It could be about Pilates (what is the correct alignment of the spine for supine work, or how did my teacher develop that great sequence, or what can I do to better increase flexibility in my pelvis?) Or it could just be healthy lifestyle topics. I invite you to recommend any topics you may be interested in reading about – and I will happily try and provide an insightful read into what you want to most learn about.
As the first month to the new year closes, take a deep breath and get ready for an exciting 2016.
