With a rich and diverse background in dance, yoga, massage, athletics and academics, I bring my passion for wellness in body, mind and spirit to my work through teaching Pilates, Yoga, fitness and massage.
I was born and raised in Washington State and my beginnings as a classical ballet dancer helped to set the stage for an extremely disciplined and dedicated lifelong pursuit of knowledge and understanding of the body. I’ve spent all my life moving my body and moving my mind in the pursuit of knowledge in an effort to achieve a deeper understanding so that I may help others.
I received my Pilates certification through the internationally recognized BASI system and my certification in Yoga came through City Yoga in Los Angeles. In addition, I am also trained on the Gyrotonic Expansion System as well as massage therapy.
My style and technique is an amalgamation of my training and my experience. I bring a strong sense of integrity and commitment to excellence that allows me to reach a wide range of people. I work with all age groups and fitness levels with a special sensitivity toward injury, rehab, and “prime of life” work. My hope to touch the lives of each client through skilled expertise, humor and genuine care is strong and my dedication to helping people achieve greater awareness of mind and body through movement is something that I am deeply committed to. The reward of helping someone with their body is so far reaching.
When your mind and your body are functioning from a healthy place, it affects all those around you. And I do believe the world can be a better place when we use our talents and our gifts in positive, life affirming ways. I look forward to working with you!
